Home and Library
Home is a row of the games you’re playing, under the focused game’s art. Library holds every game you have.

The home row
Section titled “The home row”The row holds the 12 games you played or added last, newest first, and the running game always comes first. A store install in progress leads the row with its percentage. Games an import or a scan brought in join the row once you play them. While fewer than five games qualify, the row shows your library’s newest releases instead.
A ♥ marks a favourite, and the running game’s cover reads PLAYING or PAUSED. After the last game, the Library tile opens the Library tab.
The hero
Section titled “The hero”Up from the row reaches the hero, the focused game’s logo over three buttons:
- The play button reads Play, Continue once you have played the game, Resume while it runs, and Manage install while it installs.
- Game page opens the game’s page.
- ··· opens the game menu.
The Library tab
Section titled “The Library tab”
Library shows every game but the hidden ones: the games you played or added, latest first, then the others from A to Z. The focused game’s name shows in the middle of the tab bar. This look has no sort or filter; Universe Desktop and the other looks do.
The last cell, Add a game, adds a game from a file, a store or Lutris (Add a game by hand). With an empty library, Home offers it too.
Favourites
Section titled “Favourites”Y on a game, the heart on its page and the game menu’s Add to favourites all add it to your favourites or take it out.
Hidden games
Section titled “Hidden games”To hide a game from every list and from search, turn on Hidden in the Desktop and library card of its Game settings. Big Screen can’t show it again. Universe Desktop can: turn on Show Hidden Games (Ctrl+H), then pick Unhide in the game’s menu. From a terminal, run universe set <name> hidden=false.
The Switch 2 and PS5 looks are laid out differently: see Looks.
