Controller
Settings › Controller sets up your controller’s buttons and binds actions to them, the macros. Its card is titled with the controller’s model, such as DualSense. Macros don’t fire while this section has the focus.

- Controller, with two pads or more, picks the one the card shows.
- Test the buttons and Set up the buttons check and teach the pad’s buttons (Button setup).
- Test vibration makes the pad buzz for half a second. It shows only for a pad that can vibrate.
- Nintendo games sets where A sits in Nintendo games on every pad of this model, for the Emulator controls feature.
- One row per button, the extra buttons first, names its macros. Unbound means Universe has no code for that button yet. A (Configure) offers Learn the button, On press… and On hold… (Macros and paddles).
- Advanced shows Hold length (ms), how long a press lasts before it counts as a hold, Volume step (%), how far a volume macro moves the volume, and HOME opens Universe, which brings Universe to the front when you press HOME in another app.
X (Refresh) reloads the section.
The Switch 2 and PS5 looks call it Controllers: see Looks.
